Marc Blau
We went for dinner last night at Marc Blau in Roger De Lluria opposite the Ritz Hotel. The restaurant is basically non-smoking which is a plus in Barcelona, and the meal was of a reasonably good standard. I had a pasta starter (a bit too soft for me, but seems to be “al dente español”), Isabel had terrina de anchoas; I then had a fillet steak “cooked in its own juice” with “hidden pureed potates” rolled up in jamon and with morcilla discs at either end. Isabel went for the arroz con bogavante which was good as well, but she has had better in L’Altra Llossa. For dessert we both went for an apple tart with honey ice cream. All washed down with a reasonable bottle of Albariño. The meal was good without being exceptional, but not too sure if we would repeat it. Price around 90 Euros for two of us.
